Forest School normally takes place on a Friday for the full day during school time. The children will spend one day onsite within the school grounds and the second week will be spent off site at a location within walking distance of school. Full details of these sessions are set out in the letter that your child brings home, please read these carefully.
The website will be updated on a regular basis so you can check the fun your child has been having and discuss this with them.
Any feedback is welcome.
Forest School is part of the curriculum and takes place during school time.
Children participate in engaging, motivating, achievable and challenging tasks in an outdoor environment. Forest School is designed to encourage and inspire children through positive outdoor experiences during which they will have the opportunity to learn about the natural environment, co-operate with others, manage risks and be encouraged to use their own initiative to solve problems. Our aim is to allow children to have the opportunity to grow in confidence, self-esteem and become self motivated.
Please check the weather, for the day that your child is taking part in Forest School, and dress them appropriately. Clothes could get wet, muddy, damaged and may smell of smoke so it is advisable not to wear new or expensive clothing.
NO FOOTBALL, RUGBY OR TOPS WITH LOGOS ARE ALLOWED.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact school.
Thankyou for your co-operation,
A.Wood & A. Hoyle
